THE OBJECTIVE

To bring the outdoor beauty inside. Despite the home’s idyllic location, it did not take advantage of the breathtaking views surrounding it.

HOW IT WAS ACHIEVED

New decks and patios on all 3 levels now merge seamlessly with the indoors of this lovely panoramic view home.

KEY FEATURES

The home now optimizes its previously hidden panoramic waterfront views with new decks and patios on all three levels for outdoor eating, cooking and relaxing. Frame-less glass railing allows total visual interaction with ocean views and shelter from breezes. Structural pony-wall and built-in fireplace/barbecue design increases privacy.  Main-level deck size increased over 400%. An outdoor cooking area serves as focus for entertaining while providing privacy from the neighbours. Landscaping, renewed planting, plus structural retaining walls were redesigned and reinforced along the waterfront. Beautiful tiles stairs were built to access the beach and boat docks.

The interior decor incorporated dark wood tones to compliment the extensive use of art glass and natural light. All existing windows are replaced with Energy Star models and a locally commissioned glass wall defines foyer, allows full light transfer and takes less space. A barrel copper roof was installed and enclosed the new vaulted ceiling over the kitchen sink. A new window arch provides clear and open views to the kitchen.
