Burnaby’s TQ Construction made a strong showing when the Homebuilders’ Association of Vancouver (HAVAN) revealed this year’s Ovation Award finalist nominees. These prestigious awards showcase the best of Metro Vancouver’s home construction industry, and with a record-breaking number of entries submitted, competition was intense. In addition to being nominated as Best Custom Home Builder of the Year, TQ’s custom residence Burnaby Mountain Inspiration is a contender in three categories — Best Custom Home ($1 million to $2 million), Best Special Feature, and Excellence in Building Science.

Playful details to add a touch of whimsy the overall understated elegance include soft gold kitchen faucets and fixtures, an Escher-inspired backsplash in the laundry room, and dramatic floral wallpaper in mum’s ensuite. There’s even an elevated dog wash for the two four-footed family members who also reside here.
