October 30th, 2023 – The Homebuilders Association Vancouver (HAVAN) recently held its Annual Election Meeting, and the results are in: TQ Construction’s President and Co-Owner Henri Belisle, has been voted as Chair for the 2023/2024 term. With over 28 years of HAVAN membership and a distinguished career in the residential construction industry, Belisle’s appointment marks a significant moment in HAVAN’s history; Henri becomes the first second-generation Chair at HAVAN, following in the footsteps of his father, Ralph Belisle, who served as Chair in 2002 (Ralph founded TQ Construction in 1985).
Henri’s election as Chair follows his active involvement with HAVAN, having served on the Board of Directors for five years, with the last two terms in the roles of Second Vice Chair and First Vice Chair. Additionally, he has played a pivotal role as the Past-Chair of HAVAN’s Young Professionals Committee and Vice-Chair for HAVAN’s Custom Homebuilder and Renovation Council. His enthusiasm and dedication to the association are evident through his volunteer work and his role as a liaison to HAVAN.
In his address to the online audience, Belisle expressed his commitment to upholding HAVAN’s core values through collaboration with both returning and newly elected Board members. He stressed the importance of embracing fresh perspectives and opportunities, positioning HAVAN as a “beacon of innovation and integrity within our industry” as the association approaches its 50th anniversary in 2024.
Ron Rapp, HAVAN CEO, congratulated Belisle on his new appointment and extended a warm welcome to all new and returning members of the 2023/2024 HAVAN Board.
To further illustrate the important connection between TQ Construction and the Homebuilders Association, Vancouver, TQ was named the First Place Renovator in HAVAN’s Connections Awards earlier this month. The Connections Awards are given to builders, renovators and suppliers who do business with the most HAVAN members over the course of a year.
