What Projects Do We Take On?
Every home tells a different story; some need a full redesign, others just a smart upgrade. Our work covers everything from modern kitchen remodels to complete home rebuilds. Over the years, we’ve handled a wide range of projects across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, helping homeowners refresh, expand, or rebuild their spaces from the ground up.
Below are the types of projects we take on regularly:
- Kitchen Renovations: Reimagine your cooking space with new layouts, custom cabinetry, and better flow for everyday living.
- Bathroom Renovations: From compact powder rooms to spa-style retreats, we create functional designs that add comfort and value.
- Whole-Home Renovations: Ideal for aging homes that need a full refresh, modern layouts, efficient systems, and cohesive finishes throughout.
- Home Additions & Extensions: Gain extra living space without moving. We design and build additions that blend naturally with your existing structure.
- Heritage Restorations: Preserve the charm of your character home while upgrading it to modern standards.
- Laneway & Coach Homes: Build a secondary home on your property, perfect for family, guests, or rental income.
- Custom Homes: For those starting fresh, we design and construct one-of-a-kind homes tailored to your lifestyle and site.

What to Expect During Your Renovation Consultation
Your first consultation is where ideas start to take shape. It’s an open discussion; we listen, ask questions, and walk through your goals for the space. One of our design-build consultants will meet you at your home or renovation site to review layouts, take photos, and talk through design options and timelines.
We’ll also share examples of similar Vancouver renovation projects to help you visualize what’s possible. The visit usually takes about an hour, and by the end, you’ll have a clear idea of what the next steps look like. Together, we:
- Tour the areas you want to renovate, understand existing constraints (walls, structure, plumbing)
- Measure and photograph everything relevant: walls, windows, ceiling, and structural elements
- Ask you about your lifestyle: how you live, how many people use each space, storage needs, aesthetic preferences
- Capture your must-haves vs nice-to-haves
- Review possible layout changes, structural options, and impact of changes (moving walls, windows)
- Explain how our Envision → Design → Build model works: phases, fees, collaboration
At the meeting’s end, we’ll give you immediate feedback. What’s realistic in your home and budget, where challenges exist, and what next steps do we recommend?
Duration: roughly 60–120 minutes.

Renovation Consultation Request Q&A
I have a tight schedule, are you flexible with appointment times?
We understand life is busy. We’ll do everything we can to work around your schedule. Typically, we book consultations within a week of your request. During the consultation, we’ll guide you step by step, from meeting you to planning your project.
What do I need to do to prepare?
You don’t need to prepare anything technical. Just think about how you intend to use the space, your priorities, and bring any photos, inspirations, floor plans, or sketches you have. If you need help, check out our Services page to see what’s possible. Also, we recommend downloading our Renovation Planning Checklist to help you get started.
Do I need to know exactly what I want before the consultation?
No. It helps to have ideas (scope, style, goals), but many clients refine their direction during and after meeting us. The consultation is meant to help you and us align your goals, priorities, and vision. We’ll discuss design possibilities and constraints together.
Can you give me a tentative quote at the consultation?
We generally avoid giving instant quotes. On-the-spot estimates are often inaccurate, especially for renovations; many variables (hidden structure, permits, materials) affect cost. Instead, after the consultation, we prepare a more reliable Assessment with cost ranges.
Is it okay to request a design-build consultation if I’m not sure I’m ready?
Absolutely. A consultation is a no-obligation meeting. Many clients come in the “idea stage,” not fully committed yet. After the consultation, if you decide it’s not the right time, that’s okay. We’re happy to stay in touch until you are ready.
After the consultation, what happens next?
Once the initial meeting is complete, we typically prepare an Assessment and a Design Service Agreement (DSA). We’ll walk you through the next steps, including how long drawing and estimating might take. You’ll see exactly how we turn your ideas into a workable plan.
