THE OBJECTIVE
To create an open environment for entertaining by opening up the dining room wall so to be able to accommodate 2 cooks while having guests able to mingle between the kitchen and dining rooms.
HOW IT WAS ACHIEVED
The over-sized island creates a grand space where guests can mingle without impeding the chefs, who on the other side of the island, enjoy all the perks. These homeowners pulled out all the stops with high end appliance choices, a medley of top quality selections – ALL hidden within cabinetry faces. The 123″ span of black and white granite countertop is a show-stopping work of art, but there is also a surprise – hidden in a section of the high contrast cabinetry is a bar worthy of Bond himself that rises to expose a treasured collection of spirits.
