THE OBJECTIVE
To create a social hub for the client who views cooking and entertaining as integral parts of his new retirement lifestyle.
HOW IT WAS ACHIEVED
This condo renovation features a 40 sf loft addition. All walls enclosing the cramped kitchen were removed creating a single, open area. To satisfy the need for a stylish eating space, a 13 ft seamless-slab breakfast bar was delivered through the balcony to the penthouse. Special city permitting was required for Genie-lift access via the public laneway. The built-in wine bar allows guests to self serve without disturbing the chef’s workspace — creating a flexible culinary hub and the desired masculine ambiance. This renovation brings industrial design and modernity together for luxury living at The Quay.
I love the kitchen and living room renovation on my condo. TQ’s design took my ideas and came up with a better layout and lots of detailing that I would never have thought of. The overall construction quality was great!
